Spring is in the Air!
At last after a very wet and dreary Winter, Spring is here. The children are so happy to venture outdoors again. We could hear the little lambs bleating from the classroom and last week went to see them in the field. We counted 4 pairs of twins and a set of triplets and they were so cute!We looked at the little buds opening on the trees in the garden and the blackcurrant bushes are literally opening and growing in front of our eyes.To day after introducing the Spring Flower Matching cards, we went on a flower hunt around the garden and there was great excitement when we found the very last snowdrop, yellow and mauve crocuses,primroses,pansies,primulas,for-get-me- nots, daffodils, tulips and wallflowers(about to open). It once again, brought classroom work to life!We open the door and listen to the birds sing and maybe to morrow we will take our little singing birds on a walk to see if we can recognize the different songs! We are rejoicing and so happy experiencing nature at her best with every day miracles unfolding in front of our eyes.
